Recognition of Retroscreen's Work At ICAAC 2010

A recent publication describing a human challenge study conducted by Retroscreen Virology Limited, has been recognized at the recent ICAAC conference in Boston, USA held between 12-15 September as being “one of the year’s most noteworthy papers”. The publication, appearing in the May 2010 edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), described data generated from a study of a novel therapy against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and was a collaboration between Retroscreen and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Retroscreen’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rob Lambkin-Williams (also a co-author on the paper) commented: “It is very pleasing to see the Human Viral Challenge model becoming increasingly established as an accelerated route to proof of concept for novel antiviral drugs and vaccines”.
